Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and author who won several Awards. The actress has won praise for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). Her desire to be an artist was influenced from her childhood within the New York family of artists. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, and then turned to modeling and acting. She was noticed in her two first films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most promising newcomer. MacGraw became an international celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. Within three years, she had been voted as the most popular female box-office participant in the entire world. At Grauman's Chinese Theater In 1972, she got her signature and hand-footprints engraved. She has starred in several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
