Zoe-perry

Perry was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first TV roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mother. Her parents, however, did not let her perform until she turned an adult because of the impact stress might affect their child. Perry said she felt nervous to be an actor at the age of 16, but she began acting at Northwestern University as a way to meet new people after she transferred to the university from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry relocated to New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought her back to California which is where she discovered theater work. She performed on Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015, she appeared with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, she starred in an recurring role in her own ABC drama about politics Scandal with her father. Also, she was cast on her role on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. The role was offered to her in an audition that was open despite being connected to this role.
