Ina Garten is a well-known American cook book writer and Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons till 2020. Ina was employed at the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policy documents as well as the budget. She initially found her career interesting and stimulating however she soon lost interest, and purchased a tiny food specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. The store was a success for 18 years. the business extremely profitable before letting it go and picking up the pen and writing her first cookbook.
